The Future of Balanced Power and Control Paddles

This project combines what players love most about VANGUARD Power Air and the Labs Project 003, and delivers what the market has been working towards: a paddle with a balance of power and control – in an edgeless, open throat package.

In 2017 when the original Selkirk AMPED was launched, it was the first 16mm, thick core paddle on the market. It delivered on the promise of power and control that players were looking for at the time, but since then, players’ desire for power has continued to grow.

We’ve heard you loud and clear, which is why we’ve added a new FiberFlex+ Fiberglass Face and X5+ Honeycomb 16mm Core to the Labs Project 005 – soon to be known as the AMPED Pro.

Project 005 is setting a new benchmark for balanced power & control paddles. Selkirk paddles previously considered power and control paddles will now be categorized as control paddles, including the original AMPED. This adjustment makes room for Project 005 – the future AMPED Pro – to revitalize the promise of a paddle with a combination of power and control for the Pickleball player of today.

Air Dynamic Throat for Quicker Swing Speed:

Refined within Selkirk Labs, the now enlarged Air Dynamic Throat is closer to the handle, optimizing airflow for improved ball control, and providing maximum flex.

ThroatFlex for Enhanced Power and Dwell Time:

Designed to provide maximum flex upon ball impact, our new ThroatFlex open-throat design extends the dwell time on the paddle and enhances power play, ensuring unmatched consistency.
